*gasp* I'm sure this has never happened to anyone before : just stripped one
of the allen bolts on my timing belt cover..

I could :

a) do some fancy mcguyver work to get the bolt off, or
b) rip the cover off and break it at the bolt.

Right now #b looks real attractive, since the one that's stripped is the one
tucked away in the back by the TB.
My question is : is it a big deal to leave the cover off permanently? I
remember hearing some people say that they drive that way.
