I have a question that probably been asked and answered a couple of
times, but I'm new to both vw and the list. I just bought a 2.0L 16v engine
for my jetta and wanted to increase it's power a bit. I heard from couple
of people that installing a 1.8L 16v head of the 2.0L block increase the
power? So I'm wondering what's the difference between the 1.8L and 2.0L
heads? I mean they seem to be the same. Is it only that you increase the
compression? If so, well I could just shave the head so I would get the
same result.
Does anyone know from experience if it's possible to get the car to do about
low 13's in the quarter mile without the use of turbo or supercharge. If
so, give me information about it.
Thanks.
