Sorry i didnt come across clearly, but my whole point to my original message is that my canadian '90 GTI 8v has day time running lights (DRL's), but i have the 2 position switch. The first position does nothing for me, and the 2'nd makes the lights slightly brighter. Now maybe mine is just a fluke, or the previous owner had to switch to the different light switch for some reason when he imported the car to the states (although i dont see why), or finaly the switch broke and my canadian switch was replaced by a US one.
i guess i'm actaully more interested in knowing whats up with mine. Are you sure all canadian cars have the on/off only switch? -Denis ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mark Reda" <[email protected]> To: "BHonnold" <[email protected]> Cc: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, September 30, 2001 8:37 PM Subject: Re: Light Switch for 90-92 Jetta/GTI > Most cars do, but A2's with Day time lights don't. > > Mark Reda. > > BHonnold wrote: > > > > "Most" cars with DRL's also have an off switch attached to the parking > > brake....slight upward travel of the lever turns off the light.
