haven't changed the timing belt yet on my 8v, but I think you need to put
the flywheel at the zero notch to obtain TDC at #1 cylinder, put the notch
on the camshaft as indicated and align the intermediate shaft.  Maybe your
8v is different than mine(or maybe because I haven't checked correctly), but
I didn't know that the crankshaft itself of the pulley had a notch.
