Finally after a month and a half of a minute here and a minute there I got my car back together. I have a 91 GLI now with a P&P'd head, schrick 268's, TT downpipe and a borla rear muffler. After i got it all put together I turned the car over with no plugs in it and the coil wire grounded to prime the new oil pump I put in and to pressurize the system. I turned it over for about 45 seconds and then put the plugs back in to fire it and time it. When I turned it over with the plugs in I got a nasty grinding sound coming from the bottom end. It sounded louder on the tranny side too. What could be the problem? T-belt too tight? I didn't do anything to the bottom end except for the new oil pump. Any input? Sorry for my poor ass english. Im in a rush and a little frustrated. thanks.
