I will take that bet. I used the two man E-brake method and they checked out OK but this was back in June. I was the guy inside the car so I didn't see for myself but the guy in front knew more about engine mounts. I'll bet $100 payable by Paypal that the other two mounts are OK.
Please explain to me how you believe that this mount has the least amount of stress applied to it. The other two mounts are compressed while the front one is pulled. There is a funky 12" arm on the manual transmission for attachment to its mount. From what I gather the other two mounts act as a pivot causing a stressful vertical pull on the front mount and allowing the engine to lift as high as it did. I also consider this to be the only mount that could be bad and the car still be drive-able. If one of the other mounts was blown it would be very difficult to drive and not long before wiping out a CV axle. Jimi Polivka '91 Passat
