Could be one of two things....
1) Could be a B3 Passat GLX. They didn't start putting the VR6 in the
Passats until '93, prior to that they all came with 16Vs.
2) The Canadian designation for the A2 GLi is GTX, I think. Might be a
typo.
As far as I know, we never got an A3 16V in the US. Don't know if they made
one in Europe or not.

Subject: [a2-16v-list] A2 GLX 16v? and a late model question.
I'm programing our new computer catalog at work for CV axles and came across
a GLX 16v made from 90-92. I thought the GLX was the GLI of the A3's.
Does anyone know if the transmission in this GLX is the same as the GLI?
The
GLI has a 4.00" inner joint and regular Jetta's have a 3.75".
Is there an MT 2.8L in '99 and up (A4?) Jettas? My boss thinks the 2.8L's
only come with AT's.

PS- No GLI yet. Sold to high at the auction. I'll give more details
tomorrow.
