Go with the 205/55-14s - you have sufficient torque to turn the 205s - trust me. I run 205/55-14s myself b/c I'm too poor to afford 225s. A friend runs 245/45-13s on his ITB car (8v GTi) for comparison. The Toyo is a superior tire to the Kumho for a variety of reasons, the least of which is longevity. The Kumhos stick well but are much akin to the old R1s - they stick like glue until they let go without warning.
