Not only take the cap off of the overflow bottle but hold the bottle up high so that it is the highest point the coolant reaches. Also, turn the heater on full so that you get complete circulation throughout the entire system. Whatever air is trapped will definitely bubble out and you will be back in business........Jack

I'm pretty sure. I did squeeze the upper hose to get bubbles out. The small
return hose was in a bottle of water. This increased the return hose to
dribbling into the reservoir.
