Last time I posted on this list about going with a standalone efi I was set on SDS. Well, I changed my mind and now have all the pieces ready to do the install using megasquirt (www.msefi.com). I just have to finish building the megasquirt unit and spend the time to install it. I've been finding a lot of valuable info on vw vortex.
For those interested in the cost for prepping a 16v for a turbo or if you just want to get rid of the stock fuel injection. This is what I have so far (all prices below include shipping/tax/etc). My plan is to get megasquirt running before adding the turbo.
