USRT (http://www.usrallyteam.com) convinced me to take a serious look at
their system before ordering my SDS. I did that and found they based
their product on Megasquirt. Their efi unit is completely assembled and
supported by their staff so that would have been comparable to SDS. He
was quoting about $500 for everything I would need. Seemed like a great
deal, but I decided I wanted to build it myself and learn all I could.

SDS would have cost me about $1500 with a 10% discount as part of a group
buy, so it did cost quite a bit more. That was a factor. I also wanted
to learn more about how the fuel and ignition systems work instead of
doing something that was nearly plug and play as SDS was. I also liked
the idea of being able to tune and do datalogging with a laptop with MS.
