Believe it or not, I sold my 16v GTi to a fellow who wanted a track car.  The
car sold as "non-running" although he got it running and proceeded to wear me
out playing 20-questions.  I heard "it needs injectors - I diagnosed it" and
"it needs a coil - I diagnosed it" only to have the car start running again and
disproving the diagnosis.  As a result, the car is for sale AGAIN - I'm done
with it and moving into "gasp" Mk4 VWs b/c I want/need a nice, quiet,
comfortable car - in other words, getting old sucks.

I'm still racing a 16v - in fact, we have a 2-car team of the world's most
uncompetitive ITA cars ever produced.  If we get up the energy, we'll try
petitioning them into ITB where they belong instead of racing with Pinatas.

Chad - you sound like me.  Boatloads of parts sitting patiently, waiting for
attention.  I keep finding treasure troves of crap that I've had stored away -
amazing the junk I've collected...

Matthew
