After I took the car to the track last month I noticed some cv grease on the oil pan. I ordered a new passenger inner cv boot, but when I replaced it I didn't really see any holes or tears in the old one. I suspected it just got really hot from the exhaust and leaked some grease around flange to cv joint seal. It now sounds like I've got something bumping around under the car when I get going from a stop. I can't find anything loose under there. I changed the trans fluid just to make sure there was no signs of metal.
There is no sound when turning, so I don't suspect the outer cv joints are bad. I would not think the inner cv joints Its driving me nuts. I'll have to check for movement of the engine under load I suppose to see if an engine/trans mount has failed. _______________________________________________ a2-16v-list mailing list [email protected] http://mail.a2-16v.com/mailman/listinfo/a2-16v-list
