totally offtopic of me but anyways: that's fucken true jean...I'm getting
pissed off at ubuntu for this very reason...they insist on not upgrading
anything to the latest versions..and by the time there is feature freeze
half the programs are waiting to be updated still and we end up with old
versions of stuff..prime example of this are games which are totally
pointless sionce you wont be able to connect to any multiplayer server as
you are out of sync with versions and thus incompatible :/ Makes my blood
boil :/ GRRRR ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAa

someone can suggest a usable distro that has proper backports, easily
customisable with proper package management (ala debian ie ? )

/sigh
