Hi Leslie Just an idea considering all the work your putting in to get old style look back in gnome, you might consider running Scientific Linux 6 Which ships with the gnome version you are familiar with and comes with long term support of 8 years and is based on rhel6 which itself is based on fedora 13. I even have a howto www.sklav.com to get multimedia support up and running which makes for a great desktop and is familiar. This will give you time to mess with gnome 3 and get used to it and allow it to mature more. PS: gnome 3 in fallback mode looks like gnome 2.3x but doesn't behave like it in all accounts. www.scientificlinux.org Later Nick Sklav _______________________________________________ mlug mailing list [email protected] https://listes.koumbit.net/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mlug-listserv.mlug.ca
