FWIW, I would strongly recommend you look for an enclosure that's not
just "Linux based" but one where you can install your very own choice of
distribution (like Open Media Vault, FreeNAS, ...), so you're not
hand-cuffed to the tools provided by the vendor.
In terms of hardware it's hard to know what to recommend since it
depends a lot on your particular situation and usage pattern. E.g. for
home use things like the GnuBee might be good options, but in more
serious contexts rack-mounted hardware might make a lot more sense.
