I tried to reproduce this on a W7 machine, but no luck... Trust me, these strange Windows issues which I cannot reproduce are very annoying to me too...
Hopefully, these issues get magically fixed when a new version of Qt comes out, because the displaying of images is not something Mnemosyne handles itself...
