If you start the program again, do you get the same error?
Can you try uninstalling and reinstalling?
Which Windows version do you have?
If you have Python 2.5 installed on your system, perhaps it's good to remove
that too.

Mnemosyne 1.1.2 for a few years and yesterday downloaded and installed version
2.0. After installing I tried to open the program and got this message:
"Microsoft Visual C++ runtime libary
Runtime errror!
This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an
unusual way. Please contact the application support team for more
information."
I have no idea what to do and am worried that my cards have been lost. Any
suggestions anyone?
Thanks

I have had the same problem. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but no
success. Still get the same runtime error message.
I do not appear to have anything called Python installed on my computer.
