Hi,

I have used mnemosyne for several years. And recently, I decided to change my
database from a computer to another.

I have been able to transfer the database but I now have several problems.

1) Most of my cards have very heavy latex component. The software is currently
recompiling all the latex.

Here is what I mean, when I try to review my old cards with Latex component,
the software is recomputing them. And I should add that the images have been
successfully imported.

This is rather annoying.

2) Most of my cards are mathematical proofs. I use cloze deletion to memorize
them.

They look like like this:

Statement. (Memorized with clozed)

Proof:
[ Line 1 of Proof (clozed)] (here I make sure that I don't see that line
without having to scroll down)

[Line 2 of Proof ( clozed)]

...

[Line n of proof ( clozed) ]

The way I memorize them is by making sure that I have to scroll down before I
see the line that I have to recite.

This way I don't see, and I am not influenced by further lines of the proof.

Currently mnemosyne is dividing the screen into two equal parts. This is
horrible! I use to be able to see the screen being divided into a large part
for the question and a small part for the answer.

I tried other settings. Divide it into two unequal part, yet it does not work!
It used to work! I suspect it is because I am using a new version of mnemosyne
and that cloze deletion is not compatible with that feature.

Please help! I really really need that to memorise my proofs. (Worse comes to
worse, I will simply use an old version)

3) I have a small question. What are the steps I should take when transfering
a database from a computer to another? What should I copy exactly? Anything
special I need to know?

Thank you very much!

Paul
