Hi,

Again, there’s no possibility to even add this as an option, since this is
handled by the Qt library and entirely beyond my control…

We also need to stick to the latest Qt version, as they have e.g. important bug
fixes related to high-density displays.

Cheers,

Peter

I guess I will have to stay with v2.6.

I can understand. If however, a way is found, would you be willing to add this
under options so that users can decide for themselves?

Thanks,

Faisal

Hi,

I’m afraid this is entirely beyond my control, as it is handled by the GUI
library we use (PyQt5). 2.6 used an earlier version of this library, and the
behaviour has probably changed since then.

In any case, behaviour where dragging would move the image file from its
original location would be unacceptable for me, as this would give people a way
to break their cards unintentionally…

Sorry…

Hi Peter,

Here are a few other things I tried:
- I switched to version 2.6.1 - No context menu but same problem.
- I switched to version 2.6 - This solved my problem.

> I doubt it ever moved the image file

Just verified it on v2.6. Dragging and dropping an image file onto desktop
removes it from the source (_media) directory.

Also, the tiny arrow has something to do with all this, as on v2.6, I see a
plus sign [+] instead of an arrow [->], while dragging the file into the image
editing software. Though I can still see the arrow when dragging onto desktop.

Thanks,

Faisal

Hi Peter,

I disabled all modifications and extensions from the image editing application,
however the problem is still present.

While dragging, can you see a small arrow next to the cursor? If I recall
correctly, this along with "Save image, Copy image, Copy image address" context
menus were not present in version 2.6. Could the problem have something to do
with these modifications?

Thanks,

Faisal
