Will try making things easier regarding the suggestion about the second method. Nevigate to the position from where you want to copy the text. now keep one finger near the top edge and you can even use other hands finger for sliding down. I tried this and it does work. after you have selected the desired text switch roter to edit and swipe down until you find copy. double tap and the selected text will be read back to you and the word "copied". will preceed the selected text.
