<i'd like to know what people think would be the definintive "elephant 6"
album.>
ok, i'm by far not the expert when it comes to this scene...but i have
heard a few bands belonging to the elephant 6 (and yea, many band
members like to play on each others albums) and i would have to
cast my vote for neutral milk hotel. their first album is wonderful (on
avery
island) but many people think their second (in the aeroplane over the sea)
was one of the best to come out in '98.
jeff magnum is an incredible lyricist....his songs are more tales than
anything else.
also like olivia tremor control...but i find myself listening more to
neutral
milk.
the apples in stereo i found too much like the beattles...and i haven't
really got into elf power.
