Fact; Blue is not yellow.

Fact; My mother is my grandfathers daughter.

Fact; An inability to disprove something does not imply proof of its
legitimacy by default.

Fact; Most facts are senseless, especially when proposed as nothing more
than facts, without any sense of order or logic behind them. (How again does
the fact that I only know the function of 12% of my brain make me any less
capable of knowing the existence of my ultimate creator?)

>"Atheist" can be translated to "I believe that my beliefs cannot be
>changed." If God or a god were to appear before an atheist, would they
>still be an atheist? No. How could they be? To continue, atheists are
>guilty of the same ridiculous mindset as, say, a fundamentalist Christian
>who also believes that their beliefs cannot be changed. But if proof were
>shown to them that there is not a God or gods, would they still be a
>fundamentalist Christian? Probably. They're stupid like that. But you
>can't prove that there isn't a God or gods.

You should read a book. It is called "Towing Jehovah" and it is very funny.
It provides the answers to the questions you've just raised.

>My point is that while it *is* possible to prove that
>there is a God or gods by one of these deities showing themselves to us, it
>is *not* possible to prove that they *don't* exist.

But hasn't God already done that? Walk through NYC and you'll find at least
a half dozen guys claiming to be the Man Himself. How can you disprove
them? Just because you can't, doesn't mean they are. Likewise, you are not
at liberty to lay any claims on the future of this species' ability to know
the physical universe, nor are any of us.
