so yeah, I got steve's back.

Camden-"reel time canvas"- Normally i'd spend ten
minutes trying to think of a comparison band, but I
don't need to here. Buy this record. If you don't
like it after you buy it, curse me and sell it back.
I guarantee you will not be disappointed. And if you
must have comparisons to buy a record, think Jeff
Buckley if had been born in the late 70's and never
heard of leonard cohen. This guy's voice is that
good.

The mendoza line- "we're all in this alone"
Aside from having one of the best album titles in
recent memory, this record is fucking great.
Male/female vocals, but rarely at the same time. If
you like bright eyes you'll like this better.

travis- "the man who"- I don't know if we've had this
discussion here before but this is one of the best
things to come out of britain since mick jagger
stopped doing coke. yeah its simple, yeah its got
some cheesyness to it, but isn't that why we all like
modest mouse???

South Pacific- "constance"- instrumental stuff, not
like any of the mass produced stuff that is the rage
now...i dare to say i like it as much as tristeza,
although steve will probably hit me the next time he
sees me for that....

if you buy one of these and you don't like it, send me
hate mail, I'm not afraid to look the dead in the
face.

blacker, whiter, gracer
zach
