good straight up hip hop from the states: blackalicious, jurassic 5, shadow, peanut
butter wolf (saw him in melbourne last year, awesome stuff) and latyrx (especially
latyrx!!)

from the ninja tunes label, check out kid koala's new one, called carpel tunnel
syndrome - he's a kid from canada who creates songs totally out of scratching and
samples... he's a genius! and also the new dynomite d album, i forget what its called
coz i only just got it, but its very good (also features kid koala guesting)
and also from the ninja stable, dj food and vadim...

also if you're into the online jamming and whatnot check out a new program called DASE
developed by kenny from the eLefant traks label, its an online realtime jam program
and the sounds i've heard (they even have a semi-pro DASE team 5000 that play at
parties and stuff) are really good darker breakbeats, hip hop and drum n bass.
actually eLefant traks is a cool label overall, they have industrial hip hop (from the
pilfernators, fused with sounds like gabba and industrial hardcore techno) and live
funk based hip hop (explanetary) check out www.elefanttraks.com i think

okay thats enough!
cheers
leigh
