A running summary of any thread, such as the one provided by Victor is
tremendously helpful. There is also great value in the non-technical
threads and they are clearly very popular. For those reasons I would
not wish to see them die.

Because some of the people here have tremendous time pressures, I tend
to agree with those who would keep this list to the technical topics.

There was a suggestion that they would be better placed on a separate
list and that gets my vote, but if we were to agree on a standard for
the `subject' line to allow easy sifting of mail for those that need
it, then that would be as easy to deal with. We're almost there now.

After some milliseconds of thought I decided that `NT' is the obvious
way to flag a message on non-technical matters. There may be dissent.

Stas has also tried to get us to be brief. Sorry, Stas, I'll try.

On the subject of copyright, I'd say that when a suitable image and/or
association is decided, if Stas and Eric are planning to use it then
they or the designer should immediately either put it in the public
domain or establish copyright by publishing it. Probably the GNU
`copyleft' will do it, but I'm no IP lawyer.
