'make' test fails to start httpd:
[...]waiting for server to start: giving up after 61 secs !!! server failed to start! (please examine t/logs/error_log)

Summary of my perl5 (revision 5.0 version 8 subversion 0) configuration:
Platform:
osname=darwin, osvers=6.6, archname=darwin
I don't think it was ever successfully built on darwin. I suppose that the build process may need some tweaking, so somebody with darwin machine and darwin-specific DSO knowledge can take care of this and produce the needed patches which we gladly accept.
