using the -I switch in the config file works, unlike the PerlSetEnv PERL5LIB

on second thought, try

PerlSwitches -I/home/bruce/public_html/ffball/myff

or

PerlSwitches -Mlib=/home/bruce/public_html/ffball/myff

instead of PERL5LIB
