Hi,

The complete "Practical mod_perl" book [1] is now available online under the terms of the CreativeCommons [2] "Attribution Share-Alike License" [3].

great.

is this release all ok with MP2 ?
in the fisrt chapter, you talk about apache 1.3,
so, for MP2, does i read only the online mp manual ?

You are correct. The mp2 chapters (http://modperlbook.org/html/part5.html) were written almost 2 years ago, and mp2 has changed significantly since then, so you'll be probably wasting your time reading them.

The book is written based on mp1, but the majority of the following parts of the book, still perfectly applies to mp2:

Part I: mod_perl Administration http://modperlbook.org/html/part1.html
Part II: mod_perl Performance http://modperlbook.org/html/part2.html
Part III: Databases and mod_perl http://modperlbook.org/html/part3.html
Part IV: Debugging and Troubleshooting http://modperlbook.org/html/part4.html

For the mp2-specific installation/configuration/etc see: http://perl.apache.org/docs/2.0/
