Yes. Yes it does.
I've missed a conference proposal deadline because I haven't been
able to compile this, the current, "best" version of mod_perl. I've
compiled mod_perl1 and 2 from source many, many times over the past
year, and this is the only time I've had a problem.
My work is at a complete and total stand-still while I wait for help
with this.

Actually that sounds like the exact opposite of automagical.
So no one has any ideas what might be causing this error? FreeBSD is
a fairly common operating system.
I'm at my wits end at this point. I may have to go back to Apache
2.0.55 and mod_perl2-RC4, which was giving me issues, but at least ran.
