Hi,

Actually it's a 4.8 machine. The other machines that I've done this
one were both 5.x machines [they worked]

Just the first line. None of my other systems contain the apreq line either tho.

Once again, i have the mod_perl.so file, not apreq

When I run apachectl configtest the error log remains unchanged.

Ditto, cept it may be worth mentioning that i did compile apache with
suExec tags, tho I am not trying to use suExec and mod_perl on the
same directories/virtualhosts.
