When you asked if it would be useful (yes, I have read that email), I wasn't on the list as I hadn't ried to install mod_perl for a long time. I guess if you ask the list if it would be useful to have a section summarising what has just been discussed, they'll tell you "No, we know that now". The folks who *will* find it useful are the ones who don't know they'll find it useful and aren't reading the list. > > > > Also, I note from my trips through the archives that I am > not alone in > thinking that the tests should work 'out of > the box'. Well, they don't because there is the whole issue of the location of the libaprutil.so library which was Darryl's problem (and one that I share too). Is that fixed as well in the next release? > > > > And all this pain would be prevented by the simple > addition of a 'Known > issues with the tests' section on the > web site.
