oh I did try and beat the bejeezus out of him later in a club when he gave me
a condecending lecture on how to be a *real* mod from a *long term mod's*
perspective. He was using terms like "believe me, I've been there, I've done
that" and "it's all about style". Coming from someone wearing a Merc suit it
was fairly ironic. I pointed out that we were all laughing at him when he was
in that Select article outside Blow up. "oh I'm the singer in top new mod
band. I've been a mod since christmas" or whatever he said. It all got very
ugly after that.
