If you have a laptop that runs Microsoft Powerpoint and can take images like
.jpg, .tif, .gif., etc. it's cheap to rent or even buy a small LCD projector
that can hook up to the laptop. I do a lot of presentation stuff for
work/school. You can import images into Powerpoint and run them in order as
a slide show. I've tried it with vacation photos, and it works great. A
Powerpoint presentation of 60's type photos is a funny idea because
Powerpoint is such a "business" kind of software, but it would work perfect
for this type of thing! You could even get really fancy and add animated
text, multiple images on a slide divided by lines (kinda like Mondrian
blocks, very 60's TV styled layout). The only disadvantage is that it would
have to be controlled manually by someone, but personally I would rather
have control over the images and also have the equipment near me, especially
in a club.
