At long last, the datsons� highly anticipated album �See!� is being released on CD, courtesy of Tyrant Records (a new offshoot of Stomp Records in Montreal). The album has undergone some remastering and two previously forgotten gems, �Suburban Paradise� and �Old Gentleman Flash,� have been added as bonus tracks. Those of you who bought a demo last year will probably want the real thing- the sound quality is vastly superior and the two new songs are ace! To order the album ask for it at your local record store (through F.A.B. or Sonic Unyon Distribution) or write Tyrant at [EMAIL PROTECTED] To celebrate the launch of their masterwork, the band is throwing an authentic, mod allnighter- a soul dance party that will run from 9pm to 6am on June 17th at the World Beat Club (1590 St-Laurent) in Montreal. Special guests include Les Sequelles (French garage from Montreal) and The Numbers (power pop from Detroit). After the datsons perform a headlining set themselves Toronto class-act DJs The Soul Clan will be spinning vintage Northern Soul �till dawn. Those of you in nearby cities might want to make the trip. Tickets will be 10$ at the door but are on sale now for 8$.
