Says who? He doesn't seem to think that he's done with it. Or don't you
remember his "bury me a mod" comments from a few years back?
I guess what it comes down to is not that he's making 40-year-old's music,
but that younger folks in the mod scene won't admit to it, and still claim
that it has something to do with mod...it doesn't. That doesn't mean that he
hasn't done anything worthwhile over the past 15 years, but just call it
what it is. Free, Traffic, Humble Pie, the Flying Burrito Brothers, Nick
Drake, Dr. John & Robert Wyatt were not making "mod" music...
