I think he dresses far too well to be classed as a Mod these days.
He never wears moth-ridden secondhand clothes from stinky charity shops and
he wouldn't go near a frilly cuffed beagle collared shirt.

        I guess what it comes down to is not that he's making 40-year-old's
music,
        but that younger folks in the mod scene won't admit to it, and still
claim
        that it has something to do with mod...it doesn't. That doesn't mean
that he
        hasn't done anything worthwhile over the past 15 years, but just
call it
        what it is. Free, Traffic, Humble Pie, the Flying Burrito Brothers,
Nick
        Drake, Dr. John & Robert Wyatt were not making "mod" music...
