I'm asked by different people that I meet on at least a semi regular basis if I'm from
the UK. I often find people quite surpised when they discover I was born and have
lived in the states. Yes, I know it's much more difficult to fool the English with
their own accent, but I imagiine after living in the country for five or ten years, I
will blend in well enough.
Why brit flag breifs? Because it's a novelty! Yes, I have been to the UK and I find
it quite charming. The English economy IS a sort of democratic socialism (high
duties, helthcare provided, etc.). It's not perfect Marxism, but it's a bit nicer
then what we have here in the states. England has a wounderful leftist movement
including the working class peoples who helped form the mods.
