Hmm, toytown trumpton? Lol. Ok, fair enough but I don't mind that really. In
it's own way, mod is pop..and thats whats so fun about how the music
industry can work...I really like some Blur stuff, the disco pop ended
numbers and most of Parklife, which took some obvious influence from Jerry
Dammer's later works. Some of they're rock numbers are ok when they get a
goofy hook going, but one thing is for certain, they're indie rock stuff is
not fun....AT ALL. And when they thought they were writing "gospel" numbers
on that last full length? YIKES! I think it's great when decent bands chart
because I'd rather see Blur or the Cardigans cashing in on all that pop
money than always watching it go to Matchbox 20 or Creed.... T-Shirt with
suit? You might as well be taking fashion ques from Jerry Seinfield. Oh
yeah & Sara, I really wouldn't be so concerned with "why" the uk this or
that....they have just as many squares they're as we do here, they just take
different forms. I mean every time I visit there I proudly stand out
looking like a nutty futurustic member of the Beach Boys....Personally, I
like the differences between american & british takes on things, it makes
things more interesting. Basically, alot of traditional mod culture is soley
based off of american music and just filtered through alot of silly
wordplay.... :)
