Chris, Thanks for reminding me why I don't live in NY. Hot as hell in the summer, freezing in the winter, and no dancing in bars that lack a "permit". FUN!
Andy, When you factor in that we have to tip (usually $1 per drink), your drink prices seemed about the same, or even reasonable, to me ...even taking into account the crappy exchange rate that we get vs. the pound! Also, have you seen what passes for a "studio" apt. in NY? ie...shower in the kitchen!
