Thanks Ralf. The problem was the ports. I had forgotten to compare the
conf files from the distribution to my own. Since I followed the
"15 minute instructions" from the engelschall.com web site, I just
assumed that it would work as described. Perhaps you should add a word
or two about this in the FAQ.
