I had the same problem, only it was upgrading Apache 1.3.6 w/ mod_ssl 2.3.1 to
mod_ssl 2.3.3. I used a fresh apache source tree, and added mod_ssl first (then
other Apache extra mods, mod_php, mod_roaming, mod_frontpage).
