Thanks for the workaround - resolved the immediate problem on my server,
at least.

Have read the FAQ, and all of the bug reports - the error '[notice] child
pid xxx exit signal Segmentation fault (11)' has been mentioned in several
bug reports already, so I didn't want to spam you with a trace if you'd
already been supplied with one.
The relevant bug reports:
97: Similar situation to mine, although the first few connections to the
secure server seem to work perfectly - the errors start occuring
seemingly at random.
101: Pretty vague - seems to be the same problem.
181: Seemed to promise the solution, but to no avail.
259: Seems to be related too
267: Mentions the same problem.

I didn't send a backtrace as, despite claiming to segfault, even with the
OPTIM="-g -ggdb3" option on compile, I cannot get the thing to actually
dump core - the server keeps running (it just segfaults on any SSL
connection - at least to either of the two virtualhosts it has running).
