Everything else (assuming it's there) must be compiled as DSOs (hence
the need for mod_so). No problem there. Are you executing Apache in
this way?
httpd -D SSL
This is needed to turn on the SSL module with the default httpd.conf.
If you just run:
httpd
then the default httpd.conf leaves out the SSL directives.
