Hmmm, you certainly got a point here. :-)

Well, some more info (Updated since yesterday since I did some more
fiddling)

I'm running a FreeBSD box 3.1, and I downloaded Apache 1.3.9, mod_ssl 2.4.0,
openssl 0.9.4 and php 3.0.12.

Building a standalone server with SSL only works, a server with only php3
works too.
but when I try to combine them it's no go.
(I just found out mod_ssl.c and mod_php3.c are listed in the output from
httpd -l.)
So it must be something (small) I overlooked.
