Afternoon:
I just joined the mailing list, so hello :)
I followed the example steps on the modssl web site and have a
question. Because I downloaded the openssl source, and did a make, but
not make install, nothing actually got installed on the machine,
correct? And because I then gave the parameters to the confgure script in
the mod_ssl-2.6.4-1.3.12 directory, --with-ssl=../openssl-0.9.5a, does
this mean that when I have apache completely built, it will not require
that I actually have openssl-0.9.5a installed on my system? Is this, for
lack of understanding, making my build of apache statically linked against
openssl so it's not required on my machine?
If the above is true, what is the correct entry to put into the
httpsd.conf file when starting up apache, so it knows about ssl support?
Thanks.
- Mike
