Hye all.

I new to this list and don't known the kind of discussion it homes. At
now I'd like to issue a require for a functionality which should be very
usefull to me.
The mod_ssl code didn't handle correctly name-based virtual hosting of
ssl sites. A warning is issued when this is done. Nevertheless, the
server handles request almost correctly but the server certificate.
Always the same server certificate is returned.
I had a look at the code and I think I understand why. (the way the
config is gotten from server when handling a new connection. If many
server/port instance exist the first one is retrieved ... is it ?).

My question is the following: Is this a future functionnality planned or
is there some good reasons (still obscur to me, but not for so long ...)
to forbid name-based virtual hosts with ssl ?

Name based virtual host is the only mean I have (at an acceptable price)
to host several secured web site (as I have only one IP addr.

Thanks for answers and long time ago great job.
