I'm running Apache/1.3.14 (Win32) on NT4.0 with PHP/4.0.4pl1, mod_ssl/2.7.2
and OpenSSL/0.9.6
I have a 128bit certificate issued by esign (local reps for verisign).
Using openssl to connect to my server I get a succesful connection -
......
New, TLSv1/SSLv3, Cipher is RC4-SHA
Server public key is 1024 bit
SSL-Session:
Protocol : SSLv3
Cipher : RC4-SHA
...etc
If I type 'GET / html/1.1<enter><enter>' the server returns the index.html
file for the secure part of the site.
However, the latest Mozilla, Netscape 6 and IE5.0(with 128bit service pack)
all fail access the secure site.
IE5.5 reports that the certificate has 'failed to verify for all its
intended purposes' but I have the option to ignore the error after which I
can access the site.
Can anybody help ?
