The TO_UNIX feature runs on OS/2 but not on Windows? How odd. Myself I find that CVS converts linefeeds, so that checking out the code on a Windows system to build a distribution will make one with \r\n line endings.
If the TO_DIST stuff doesn't currently run on Windows - the most obvious platform where it might be needed - and nobody has complained so far, then you might as well rip it out. -- Ed Avis <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
