that's nonsense. CPAN is equipment, it is not an actor with moral compass. Whoever uploaded to CPAN made the distribution at that time. I gather from the very tail of this thread that some joker licensed his module with a clause restricting said module from distribution "to armed groups." That's cute, and their seriousness is debatable, but it is not CPAN's problem. They may have violated their license themselves when they uploaded it. Are they planning on trying to enforce their license by contacting everyone who uses it and auditing their guns? That's absurd. I am a lawyer in my dreams.
